Who we are
InnoAIConsulting is a boutique AI development agency led by engineering, not by sales. It was founded by Cayetano López, an engineer with a background in naval R&D and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM).
That background shapes the method: clear requirements, testing on real data and systems running in production, not slide decks.
What we build
Internal software with AI that fits the way your company works, not resold licences or generic chatbots.
- AI agents that query your systems, prepare documents and carry out tasks, with human approval where it matters.
- Self-hosted n8n automation connecting your ERP, CRM, email and spreadsheets.
- RAG systems that answer from your manuals, catalogues and internal standards, with citations.
- Custom CRMs built around your stages and permissions, with no per-seat licences.
- Dashboards and automated reporting, with no one assembling spreadsheets by hand.
How we work
Every project starts with a diagnosis call. If it makes sense, we agree scope and price in writing in week one and deliver in 4-8 weeks.
We deploy on your own server or VPS, or on EU-based hosting, and hand over the code, documentation and runbooks. You do not depend on us to keep the system running.
We work remotely with companies across Spain and the rest of the EU, including international firms with Spanish or European operations, in English or Spanish.
Versus a freelancer or another SaaS tool
A freelancer suits a contained task. When the system touches sensitive data or critical processes, without fixed scope and documentation it ends up depending on whoever wrote it.
SaaS wins when it covers almost all of your process. When it does not fit, you pay per seat, bend your workflow around the tool and your data sits in someone else's cloud. If the SaaS is enough, we tell you during diagnosis.
Compliance: GDPR and the EU AI Act
We design for compliance from the start. We do not replace your legal adviser, but we give them the technical documentation they need.
- GDPR: data on your server or in the EU, access control and a data processing agreement whenever we handle personal data.
- EU AI Act, Article 50: if the system talks to people, it tells them they are dealing with an AI.
- Human approval for sensitive actions: sending, paying, deleting or making decisions about people.
- Logging of queries and actions, so you can audit what the system did.
How a project runs, step by step
Each phase ends with a clear deliverable. A simple project takes 4 weeks; one with heavy integrations or several modules, up to 8.
Diagnosis
We map the real process with the people who run it and agree in writing the deliverables, exclusions and acceptance criteria, with a fixed price.
Infrastructure and ingestion
Server, database, backups and connectors. Your data flows into your system, not into a third party's.
Agent and business logic
The agent, the n8n workflows, the CRM or the dashboard, with permissions and rules. Your team reviews it in a staging environment.
Validation and deployment
Testing with real users, adjustments, go-live and a handover session so your team can run the system independently.
Who it is for
- Companies with a stable process spread across spreadsheets, email and several SaaS tools that do not quite fit.
- International companies with operations in Spain or the EU that need GDPR compliance and EU hosting.
- Teams where technical know-how sits with a few people and quoting takes hours.
- Sectors with sensitive data that cannot go into a generic AI SaaS.
When it is not a fit
- Your process is not stable yet: while you experiment, a generic SaaS is cheaper.
- Only 1-2 people will use it: a SaaS licence usually works out better.
- A SaaS already covers 90% of what you need: configure or integrate it.
- There is no real project budget. Four in ten calls end with: do not commission custom software yet.
Real case · Manufacturing
Manufacturer: a technical RAG agent
The industrial manufacturer case sums up how we work: fixed scope, a RAG agent over the client's catalogue and internal standards, deployed on its own server. Estimated savings of €39,000 a year, with no technical data leaving its infrastructure.
−€39,000/yrsaved

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between an AI agency and a consultancy?
A consultancy usually delivers analysis, recommendations and roadmaps. An AI agency such as InnoAIConsulting delivers software in production, running on your real data. Our diagnosis ends in a fixed scope and price, not a report. If you need to transform many functions of an organisation at once, a large consultancy may be a better fit.
Do you work with international companies, or only Spanish ones?
Both. InnoAIConsulting works remotely with companies across Spain and the rest of the EU, including international firms with operations here. Diagnosis, reviews and handover happen over video call, in English or Spanish, and the system is deployed on your own server or on EU-based hosting. Your location changes neither the method nor the 4-8 week timeline.
How much does it cost to hire an AI agency in Spain?
It depends on scope: a single n8n workflow and an agent with several integrations are very different projects, so we do not publish rates. After the diagnosis call we agree in writing what will be built and what is excluded, and give you a fixed price. If an existing SaaS is enough, we tell you before quoting.
How long does a custom AI project take?
Between 4 and 8 weeks once scope is fixed. A simple project goes live in about 4 weeks; one with heavy integrations or several modules, in up to 8. A typical custom CRM takes 4-6 weeks. Because scope is fixed in week one, there is no open-ended discovery phase stretching the timeline.
Where is our data hosted?
On your own server or VPS, or on EU-based hosting. Databases, documents and logs stay under your control. If the system uses external language models, we decide during diagnosis which data may leave your infrastructure and which may not; for sensitive data, private or locally hosted models are an option.
Are your systems compliant with GDPR and the EU AI Act?
We design every system to comply. For GDPR: data on your server or in the EU, access control and a data processing agreement. For the AI Act: any system that talks to people discloses that it is an AI, as Article 50 requires. Sensitive actions need human approval. Your legal adviser should confirm the specific use case.
Who owns the code when the project ends?
You do. The code and data belong to your company from day one, and the system runs on your infrastructure. We hand over the source code, documentation and runbooks. You can maintain it with your own team, your IT provider or our occasional support. If you stop working with us, the system keeps running.
When should you not hire an AI agency?
When your process is not stable yet, when only 1-2 people will use the system, when a SaaS already covers 90% of what you need, or when there is no real project budget. In those cases, configuring an existing tool is the better choice. In fact, four in ten calls end with 'do not commission custom software yet'.
